Gardens, Books, and Candles

Greetings Fellow Anti-Authoritarians,

There are many fun things to mention that are happening to, around, and at your local anarchist library and activist center:

Tomorrow, March 18th (Tuesday) at 5pm - Urban Gardening (Food Not Lawns) Meet-up: If you have an interest in growing food and herbs and teaching others in the community how they can do the same, OR if you just like to get your hands in the dirt and eat yummy veggies. Then come help us plant seeds! This is going to be one of our core "city repair" projects (wouldn't it be great if the next time you were driving/biking down historic Route 66 (college st) you saw every lawn filled with vegetables and beautiful flowers!) We still need more gardens tools! Anything you could donate would be great!

Wednesday, March 19th at 7pm - Candle Light Vigils: How many more people must die by American-made weapons, how many future generations will be affected by the toxins of depleted uranium, what's it going to take to stop a "military industrial complex"? The 19th will mark 5 years of war in Iraq, and to our knowledge two separate groups are doing candle light vigils in rememberance to all who have died and as a call for peace. This is a simple action that we can all participate in, invite your friends and family, tell your co-workers, the world needs some light. Show up at 7pm either in front of Roy Blunts Office or Downtown at Park Central Sqaure. More details are on the Radish Calendar.

Also coming soon to a Radish house near you...

April 1st Grand Re-Opening with a special guest all the way from Florida! Adrienne Nadeau! Listen to some of her new album at http://www.thewarriorwoman.org Details are up on our calendar.

Wednesday, April 2nd - Law Resource Research Workshop:Our first workshop of the year! yay! Hosted by Midge Potts. Details to come...

For those interested in browsing our lending library without leaving the comforts of home, we have started putting our library on the net at http://www.librarything.com/catalog/radishal We have 78 books up now, but when we get to 200 (we have well over 200 books) we'll need $25 to become a lifetime member, if anyone is interested in sponsering this project let us know! Speaking of the Library, we still need help getting it organized by April 1st! Email us and set a time to volunteer.Pay attention to the Calendar for updates!

In Solidarity,
Jon c/o The Radish House Collective
