Hello Radishals,
Here is a quick reminder about upcoming events at The Radish. Please stay tuned for a complete schedule for the month of June.
Tonight! (Thursday) from 6-9 we will be having our first Women's Nite. If you get this in time (and you meet the proper requirements), please come on over and check it out!
Friday at 3 pm - Bike workshop. Come fix up your bike and join us as we prepare for this month's Critical Mass bike ride (5:30 at the square - Critical Mass is NOT a Radish event - but we strongly encourage you to go!)
Saturday - Floob and S-Foil. Rawk! The rumors are true. Floob will again be taking to the stage to enchant us with their magical mystical sounds. This doesn't happen very often, folks. You won't want to miss it. And S-Foil rocks too. ;)
On Wednesday, June 1, The Radish will be hosting an intimate (whatever that means) gathering with Stephen Zarlenga, from the American Monetary Institute. Don't let the name fool you, this is serious, relevant stuff. Below you will find the description of what Stephen will be talking about at the Brentwood Library at 6:30 on June 1. BEFORE his visit to the library, Stephen will be making a special appearance at The Radish at 4 pm. Don't miss it!
Hope to see you soon!
Yours,
The Radish
Stephen Zarlenga: REMOVING STRUCTURAL INJUSTICE FROM OUR MONEY SYSTEM "We’re Told We Don’t Have The Money to repair infrastructure and the many other problems in our society. We’re told that the only way to get the money is to raise taxes, or to borrow it from the wealthy and increase the national debt. But this is not true. Its A Mythology of Money that has been created to keep the society from correctly using its monetary power, keeping it in private hands. But, we know better from 3000 years of history. We know the money system itself can and should be used to provide the funding... But the Mythology of Money tells us that we can’t do this because it would be inflationary. THAT IS A MYTH! " Stephen Zarlenga will talk about Privatization of the Money System and Monetary Reform! Issues covered will include the Federal Reserve System, World Bank, International Monetary Fund, third-world debt and the history of money. For More Information on Stephen Zarlenga and the American Monetary Institute visit www.monetary.org.
