Ahoy mateys!
I'm happily typing this on the OpenOffice.Org word processor! OpenOffice.Org is a free opensource, very cool alternative to Micro$oft's capitalist, monopolizing bloatware. Download it at, you guessed it, www.openoffice.org. And while you're extricating yourself from M$'s creepy totalitarian grip, be sure to download Mozilla Firefox, a better alternative to Internet Explorer.
This week at the Radish:
25% off all merchandise! 'Nuff said. Get it while it's hot.
Tuesday, August 30 – 6pm Anarchy discussion. I don't think we have a topic picked out, so it'll be an open forum tonight.
Thursday, September 1 – Post-(Drury-)convocation discussion, beginning an hour after speaker is finished. The topic this time is Emory U's Dr. Peggy Bartlett on "Sustainability on Campus."
September 1 – 7pm Poetry night! Make words. May life and fire sprout 'tween your teeth.
Friday, September 2 – 6:30 pm A Planned Parenthood group will be meeting up at the Radish before petitioning during Art Walk.
And be sure to clear your calendar for the schmeeting on Wednesday the 7th. It's could be momentous.
With love and rage,
The People's Republic of Radish
