Urgent Flapdoodle!

Howdy Radishals!

On Wednesday, September 21st at 7 pm we will be discussing the departure of Jenny and Benny, two of our Board of Directors members (whatever that means) and the possibilities for their replacements. As anti-authoritarians, this puts us in a bit of a sticky situation. Legally, we are required to fill these positions. But the responsibilities of these individuals and who they are is up to you! We really need everyone's input and support on this one. And if you think you are interested in filling one of these positions, please make sure you come to the shmeeting.

We can't really stress enough the importance of this particular occasion. Please mark your calendar and come ready with your ideas and input. If you can't make the meeting but are interested in giving us input, please feel free to call us or respond to this email with your thoughts and ideas.

Also – we are still in need of volunteers! Please come in and sign up for some time. We promise not to work you too hard.

Now, here is this week's calendar of events!

Wednesday, September 14 @ 7 pm: Wicca Round Table. Come plug in to the local pagan community.

Thursday, September 15 @ 7 pm: Poetry Night. Words are slippery things. We think it's neat-o when people can string them together in clever, witty ways. Some people call it poetry . . .

Friday, September 16 @ 8 pm: The Byrd. Acoustic rock for all ages (and incomes – FREE!).

Saturday, September 17 @ 3 pm-?: Folk the War!!! An all day folk show featuring our favorite local artists such as Maioan Person, JoJo Roberts and the Dutchess of Darkness, Angry Panda, Binky, and more! From 3-5 will be open mic. 5-? will be scheduled music. Please bring a $3 donation for folks going to the anti-war rally in DC.

Thanks for your continued support and love!

Yours for the revolution,
The Radish

P.S.

We were a bit short on income last month. If you can, please consider giving a donation some time this month!

P.P.S.

We've recently acquired a ton of new books for the lending library. Come check it out – you're sure to find something interesting.
