Radish Events

Dearest Radishals,

Thank you everyone who responded to the last plea for funds. We gathered enough money to pay last months rent, and are begining to gather for this month'. Several people came forward and agreed to become monthly donors. This is especially important because it gives the "bookkeepers" some idea of projected donations.

There are a lot of events planned in the space over the next few weeks. There are two films being shown. The first film is planned for July 16th, at 4pm. It is the documentary "Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch's War on Journalism." The other film is "Bush Family Fortunes: The Best Democracy That Money Can Buy." It will be shown July 26, at 7 p.m.

There is a Socrates' Cafe discussion group meeting at 6:30 on Saturday, July 22. The topic for the evening is going to be "Will the real Jesus please stand up?" These are structured discussion groups which are facilitated by their creator. Drinks and snacks will be provided.

The organizational Schmeeting will be held on Thursday, July 20th at 7 p.m.

There are many events besides these which are happening in the space. To see all of the events happening in the Radish just visit PNO's calender. PNO has been good enough to allow us to use their calender space. Just visit http://www.my.calendars.net/pno to see events. The events listed in red are happening at the Radish.

Also, Radish coffee cups and Radish T-Shirts are now available in the store. They are completely recycled shirts, and the screen printing was donated time, so the entire purchase price supports the Radish.

As always, the Radish is available for community events. The Radish is open Tuesday through Thursday 3-9 p.m., Friday 3 p.m. - "Late", and Saturday 12 p.m. - "Late". Anyone who would like to sechdule an event is welcome to do so. They only need to come in and speak to a Radish volunteer. (Emailing is also cool.)

We have also recently joined the affiliates program for No Sweat Apparel, a great site that sells 100% union made clothing. This means that 7% of all revenue generated from our links to them is donated to The Radish. To visit their site click here: No Sweat Apparel.com

Yours for the Revolution,

Amber
