A few words from the Radish

Howdy, Everybody!

Just a note to let you know how the never-ending quest to end all forms of oppression and exploitation goes.

The shmeeting last night went well. It is always nice when we are able to take care of all the meeting items within the hour alloted. Minutes to the meeting are posted under this entry if you want to check them out. The next shmeeting is planned for Sept. 26, at 7pm.

There is a potluck, a fund raising meeting, and a film showing planned for next week. The film we will be watching is “Iron Jawed Angels”. (For those of you who haven't seen this, it is an awesome movie. It is a powerful film about the women's suffrage movement.) We are also trying to compose a working community calendar in the space. If you have local events that you think are noteworthy, we would be happy to spread the word. Just email us them, or come in and put them on the calendar.

There are several events that are being planned and organized right now. We are hoping to have a women's group that is able begin meeting, either at the Radish or at Radishals' homes. We are also hoping for input on the film series that is going on at the Radish. What great film would you like to see, here? They don't all have to be documentaries. Sometimes fictional films have incredible messages.
