Shmeeting at The Radish

Hey guys,

I just wanted to let everyone know how we're doing, here at the Radish. We are having an “emergency" shmeeting next Tues., Oct. 17th, at 7pm. The financial and volunteer situation is troubling, to say the least. We need to get together and figure out where the Radish is heading, and how we are going to get there.

We are needing volunteers to host activities and keep the shop open. We are also needing financial contributions to pay the rent on the space. The Radish is a community space, and it needs to be used and utilized to the best of our ability.

I hope that you are all able to come to the meeting. If you are not able, but would be interested in contributing time or financial aid, just email, call, or drop in! There are lots of ways to help out.

As always, check out [old calendar link] for a listing of Radish events, as well as other stuff happening in the progressive community. (Thanks to PNO for letting us keep our events on their calendar)

Thank you for all your support,

Amber

Radish October Programing Void

Hey guys,

Just a note from your friendly neighborhood Infoshop. It is important to keep everyone informed about what is going on in the space. Feel free to check out our calendar at [old calendar link] or visit our blog at www.radishinfoshop.blogspot.com.

We are kind of short on programming for the month of October. If anyone wants to start a discussion group, or show a film, this would be a great time to get involved. Also, if anyone is interested we are starting a women's night discussion group. It will not be meeting at the Radish, but instead at private homes. (It isn't nice to with community space.) If you are interested call [no longer applicable phone #s].

As always, it is about the first of the month, and we are needing to pay the rent. As always, this space is powered by donation, so we need everyone to pitch in and help keep the Radish alive.

We are also trying to find volunteers to help keep the shop open. Summer break is over, meaning most of our summer volunteers have classes again, and can't spend as much time keeping the shop open. But as the saying goes, many hands make light work. If you are interested in volunteering, just email or call to sign up. It doesn't have to be an intense shift. All we really need is someone to sit, read a good book, and keep the doors open.

Keep in touch with us through our blog (www.radishinfoshop.blogspot.com) and the space on the calendar that pno is so gracious to loan us [old calendar link].

Thank you for your continued support,

Amber
