Hurrah!

The Really, Really Free Market was a roaring success! It's been decided that there will be a Really, Really Free Market every month, on the last Saturday of the month, from 7am-7pm. Keep your eyes on the calendar in The Radish and this blog for more great events!

Spring Cleaning is well underway. The bathroom and free store are immaculate, the toys have been sorted and thinned, and the raised bed areas have all been marked out, ready for building. We have a donation tracker, a dry-erase check-off chart for cleaning duties, and a dry-erase wish list for our center's constantly-changing needs. There's even a paper list of things that need done, so you will never again be at a loss for a task when you come in to volunteer a bit of time!

There's lots being done, so come by often to see our changes!

Here's a short wish list of some of the things we could really use at The Radish right now:

Donations (a constant need)
Volunteers (you are always welcome)
Work Gloves
Dry erase markers
Fans
Clear packing tape
Window screen (6'X32")
Duct tape
Wood (scraps or whole pieces)
Folding tables
Bicycles in need of repair
Bookshelves
Ceiling fans
Electric weed-eater (for trimming around the raised beds)

The Re-DisOrganization Schmeeting went really well, and now The Radish knows what you dream of in your personal ideal of an infoshop & community center. The ideas were fun, helpful, exciting, and sometimes a little frivolous, but all absolutely perfect, as we wanted to hear it all.

The next Schmeeting is this coming Thursday from 4:30-6:30pm. It's going to be going on for long enough for everyone to be able to fit in a little bit of time in their schedule, and still be able to make it to the potluck at 7pm. Come and go as you wish during the meeting, and share your voice. We'll discuss what things (tasks, networking, chores, crafts, events and so forth) that would need to happen in the imaginary perfect center that we envisioned last week, to make it work and run smoothly. Make a list on paper or in your head, and bring it with you to share on Tuesday. We hope to see you there.

Together, we can make it happen!

Be sure not to miss this week's other events, listed in the post below.
