Re-Disorganization, Calendar, & Massive Growth!

With the onset of spring and warmer weather, The Radish is becoming more active again, and we are building on that momentum!

This Thursday, come to the Potluck Dinner at 7pm and enjoy great food, and friends new and old, then sit down on our new, comfy donated couch (THANKS!) in the re-designed front meeting and playroom, and enjoy an exciting discussion of what's currently going on, as well as where we want to go from here.

In the next week or so, there's a whole lineup of stuff to do at The Radish house. From the Community Potluck and Re-Disorginization Schmeeting tomorrow at 7pm and 7:30pm respectively, then the Garden Meeting and raised bed building on Friday at 4:30pm.

On Saturday from 7am-7pm bring usable stuff you don't want anymore, and pick up some new-to-you goodies at The Really, Really Free Market! (no televisions, large items, or computer monitors please). From 1pm to whenever, join in the Moonscape Cleanup, when we'll be cleaning up along the creek.

7pm on Mondays, there's a new thought-provoking movie every week at Movie Night, and Tuesdays bring us the Weekly Informal Schmeeting at 4:30pm where we discuss the garden, and talk (info)shop in general.

Open Mic Night is every Wednesday at 8pm. Come on in and share what lives in your heart!

Spring cleaning is scheduled for Sunday the 26th of April, so come on over and help out. Work, when shared, becomes fun, and many hands make light work! We're clearing out what we don't need anymore, and brightening up the space.

The Spoke & Wrench Bike Workshop begins again on Sunday, May 3rd from noon to 6pm, repeating every Sunday from then on.

There's more being planned all the time, so stay tuned!

Now about that Re-Disorganization Schmeeting...

We want a list of your personal dreams for The Radish.

Answer questions like;

What do you think of when the idea of the "perfect" community center comes to mind?

What would an "ideal" infoshop look like to you?

What activities and events have you liked most at The Radish in the past?

What would you like to see that hasn't happened yet?

Without mention of what is or is not being done at The Radish currently, we want to know that it would take, form the most menial of tasks and chores, to projects, events, and more, in your opinion, to make your idea of the "ideal" infoshop and community center happen in our community?

We really want to know!

This special schmeeting will be non-confrontational, positive, and filled with the spirit of sharing and support for one-another's ideas. Bring an open mind, and a willingness to share and discuss even the ideas you might think are a little far-fetched. We want to hear it all!

Don't wait, get in on the ground floor of this exciting opportunity! You too can be a part of the fastest-growing grassroots effort in central Springfield! Be the envy of your neighborhood when you can point and say "I helped make that happen."!

No, seriously, bring your list with you tomorrow, and we'll plant and grow our hopes and dreams together in the fertile heart of our community.

Donations of labor, time, resources, or money always gladly and gratefully accepted.
